Here's a video of Madeleine getting into the "swing" of things this holiday season. To say she really enjoys this commercial is an understatement...

Sundance
We live so close to Sundance Resort, it's a shame we don't head up there more often. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, Robert Redford, or "Bob" as us locals call him, founded this wonderful resort as a way to preserve nature. Each January, a portion of the Sundance Film Festival takes place here, too.

At work, I also service both the Film Fest as well as the resort as my accounts...need to start taking them up on some of their free offers!

Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Here are a few more pictures of our trip to DC last month...all though I prefer to say three weeks ago because it doesn't make me sound so slow at blogging.
Yep, we're good to go!

Madeleine LOVED it!

Here's Madeleine making sure our luggage made it onto the flight to BWI.
Yep, we're good to go!

Washington DC has the best Metro system around! It was surprisingly easy to take Baby everywhere the day which we were in the City. I've been on the subway system more times that I can count, due to family trips, school events, vacations, but this was the first time with a child...and a stroller...in the rain...
Madeleine LOVED it!

And, since I love Disney World, but have pretty much been banned by Mark, I had to take a picture of the Dumbo Ride at the Smithsonian!
Ocean City, Maryland
While back East, Mark and I were able to stay at The Atlantic House Bed & Breakfast. Talk about a great time! Although we were only there for one night, the owners made us feel more than comfortable! This adorable little couple from NYC wanted to retire, so they purchased this little gem! It was only a block aware from the boardwalk and ocean, and a few miles from Delaware...chalk another state off my list!

What a great time~

Some Maryland Action
After an 8 day journey, we are back from Maryland! And what a journey it was; Ocean City, Washington DC, dinner with an old high school friend (mine), staying with Mark's Sister's family, Sandy Point State Park, and a missing BlackBerry (mine).
I'll post more photos later, but here are a couple.

Our nephew, Gavin, loved taking photos with my red camera. Here are some from a 5 year olds perspective.
On our last full day in Maryland, Mark and I took the two oldest boys and Madeleine to Sandy Point State Park. The waves and company made it a great time! You see the Bay Bridge in the background, heading from Annapolis to Cambridge.

MISSING
Attached to me at all times, makes noises at the the worst moments, always needs to be re-charged...
If anyone has seen this beauty, most likely on DL 1189, 8/22/09-row 12, seat(s) D-F-please let me know! I need it by approximately 7:30am tomorrow. Thanks!

Aubrey's Going Away Party for Baby
Tomorrow is the last day Aubrey will be with us as she is heading up to Utah State University for fall semester. We have been so blessed to have Aubrey as our nanny for the summer, Madeleine loves her and she loves Madeleine. Today Aubrey asked if it was OK for Baby to come home a bit late tonight because her family wanted to throw her an end of summer party! How sweet is that?!

How happy is this baby?!?!

Our little blond hair DiVa!
Here's Madeleine with Aubrey and the cake which was baked.
Madeleine can't wait...!

Small Madeleine
So, Madeleine was sick last week which meant no fun and no sleep for anyone! Here's a video of her laughing and crawling...wearing a size "3 month" onesie...at 9 1/2 months. I promise, we're feeding her!!!! She's been crawling for some time now, and just this morning she mastered crawling up 2 flights of stairs, from our living room on the lower level all the way up to her bedroom upstairs. I knew something was up when she was too quiet!

Fun in the Sun
Warning...there might be a bit of pictures in this post since I'm so horrible at updating the life of my Child.
Please note, these are in NO PARTICULAR order...

For my birthday this year, the BIG 2-8, all I requested from Mark was a ride home...home from the KeNnY ChEsNeY concert~here's a before shot since it probably turned out the best....
My friends surprised me by making the pre-party into a Surprise Party...thank you all!
Also for my birthday this year, Mark and Madeleine gathered up all my friends/family and we went to Tepanyaki...it was another surprise to me~
For those of you how don't know, Mark owns a motorcycle. He built it. We never ride it. BUT, this past Saturday, he rode it up to work in Salt Lake. He said he wouldn't do it again...GOOD. We did take a fun little ride on it Monday night though.

Here in Utah, July 24th is a holiday. No, we don't get it off work, it's not one of the {7} we get. But, we both took it off this year; here's Grandma Lani and Madeleine...loving the sun glasses!
