June in review
June was a busy month for the Taub family. Between my parents coming out to visit and the MS Bike ride up in Logan, time sure did fly by!
Photos of Harmons Best Dam Bike Ride...My goal was 40 miles but I completed 66! Just think of what I can do when I actually train:-)
Before that we had a nice visit from my parents who brought along the bad weather from Michigan!

Last month Mark and I won free night at the Homestead Resort so of course my parents said they'd watch Baby. We went to dinner in Park City and rode down the Alpine Slide at Park City Mountain Resort.
Pleasant Grove had their annual Strawberry Days and Madeleine won Miss Congeniality in the baby contest...per my mom. Seriously though, why didn't she win, she is SOOOOO cute!
As usual, we made time for some good old fashioned Stevens bonding.
Madeleine has learned quite a bit this month...
1) How to give us the morning wake up call at 4am...not sure why she wants to revisit her 2
month old days.
2) How to sit up from the laying down position
3) How to take a "half crawl"
4) How to spit out her food and laugh as it goes all over her parents
I'm sure there is more but that's all I remember...
Oh, and for those of you with children...DO NOT go to this website...www.babysteals.com it WILL drain your bank account!

Here goes nothing...
...well, Saturday! That's right, I'm riding in the Bike MS: Harmons Best Dam Bike Ride 2009, 100 miles!!! Last year I volunteered due to being pregnant. I think I should have volunteered this year, too...really haven't done training. By "really haven't done training" means NOT AT ALL. Oh, well, it's all for a good cause...still time to donate under 'Betsy Taub.: ;-)

Love some "FREE' stuff
Mark and I never "win" anything. Radio contests-NO. Prizes at work parties-NO. Not even anything out of that stupid stuffed animal crane machine. Well, I think our luck may have changed over the past two weeks.
Two Thursdays ago, we went to a charity poker tournament, silent auction and raffle to help support a cure for MS and to support our 100 mile Best Dam Bike Tour. Poker didn't fair too well for Mark, but the raffle on the other hand...after some trading with his friends, we walked away with a night at the Homestead Resort up in Midway AND a free golf lesson for Mark! Woo Hoo. Wait...it get's better. In the silent auction, I won the bid for 4 Disney Park Hopper passes! Even though I have been "banned" from Disney...we have to go now...it's for Madeleine, right? :-)
So, to this point I'm feeling pretty good about our winnings. Well, I had to redeem myself to Mark after the Disney tickets so we had another charity event this past Thursday. I'm a member of the UBTA, Utah Business Travel Association, and they had their bi-annual gala with all proceeds going to The Christmas Box. This time I didn't spend any money on the silent auction, we only bought raffle tickets. GUESS WHAT...WE WON! We won 2 free flights anywhere in the lower 48 on Delta! Are you kidding me? I was so excited that night I couldn't sleep!!!!
Not sure what else we have coming up...but let's hope it's good!!
