Today is My Due Date

But luckily I have been able to hold my little girl for a week now:-) Stella Elizabeth as born Friday, February 18th around 9:40 PM. We went to the hospital, with Mads in tow until Macie and TJ could pick her up, at 3 in the afternoon (we only had an hour window to make it there...otherwise the room may have been taken by someone who was actually in labor). After all the fun check in stuff, I was started on Pitocien at 3:50...the doctor broke my water at 6:30{ish}...had the epidural...and 5 pushes later (and a couple hours) baby Stella was born. She weighed in at 7lbs 9oz and 18 1/2 inches long. That's the short version...but there's really no long version of the story.

I had a great delivery, fabulous doctor, and excellent nurses; couldn't really ask for more! Mark was just happy he didn't have to hold my leg this time...per him 'that's why we pay insurance.'

When Mads came to visit at the hospital, this is how the conversation went:
Me: 'Madeleine, where is Mama's baby?'
Mads: Looking at my tummy...'I don't know, all gone'
Me: pointing to the baby in the bassinet; 'Is that Mama's baby?'
Mads: 'No, Baby bye-bye' waiving to the bassinet telling her to leave...awesome.

Last Time

As i wait to be induced...they pushed me back a few hours because there were too many births overnight and they're trying to 'catch up'...too many births in Utah, really?, i thought back to when i delivered Madeleine.

Me: Mark, Give me your arm.
Mark: Why?
Me: If I'm in pain, you'll be in pain. As i proceed to draw blood from his arm with my finger nails.

'F&@$ this and F&@$ the nurse that told me to do this!' - I'm sure that was one of my finer moments:-)

V-Day

Normally we're not one to celebrate this Hallmark Holiday, but surprise surprise...

And, my awesome husband bought me sushi and a new ring...Sure do love both my boyfriend and husband!!!

Mads and Momma

We're set to induce on 2/18, a week before my due date. No particular reason, just 'cause I want to! Doc says I only have a 50/50 chance of making it that far though...

Snoring

Madeleine was pretending to sleep tonight when we were playing...snoring and all. She thought it was so much fun to make fun of Daddy!

Diaper Day

Today was a good day for me. I was able to use Target coupons, manufacturer coupons, and a 2 Target $5 GC's (from previous diaper purchases) to grab 184 diapers (2 boxes) for just $20.94. That equals out to $.11/diaper (instead of the $.22/diaper at full price)...and, because I bought two boxes, I received another $5 Target GC...yeah me!

Between the Target deals and Amazon Mom/Subscribe and Save, I'm finding all my diapers for under $.12/diaper...and this includes Huggies Overnights!
